Prelude and Premiere (Ages 6 months-36 months) are our semester long “Baby and Me” classes. They are meant to stimulate infants and begin a deep love and neurological connection to music as well as offering a meaningful way for loved ones to spend time with Baby.
Rhapsody and Dynamics (Ages 3-6) are general music education classes for preschoolers. They are designed to build a musical foundation that will prepare little ones for instrument specific instruction. This class will introduce kids to each music family and stepping stones such as music’s alphabet, rhythm and composition.
Tempos (Ages 3-6) is a rhythm and percussion specific expansion of Rhapsody and Dynamics. If you have a little drummer this is their class!
A weekly class (Ages 6-12) that focuses on a specific instrument. If you are ready to graduate from Music Explorers or begin an instrument, but like to learn in a group these 45 min. classes are for you! Working in a group will help develop your “ear” and hone cooperative and communication skills. Class sizes are small for maximum growth.
ENSEMBLES and MASTER’S CLASSES
Ensembles are offered to experienced students interested in creating and performing with others. If you have a “garage band” that needs mentoring or guidance our ensemble instructors are also available for consultation. Master’s classes are an opportunity for high level players to meet with peers interested in a similar focus or genre. Young musicians will gain the experience of critiquing each other in preparing for performances, auditions and solo work
Both Ensembles and Master’s classes are performance based and require commitment to all rehearsals and concerts.
